In Klee’s Burdened Children, the emotion is supposed to be depressing, or saddening. But throw some color on it, and it becomes something else. Depending on the colors used, Klee’s work can become happier, such as the complementary colored one above, or even more depressing, such as the analogous colored one at the top.
